Was the Groundhog right?

They say the groundhog saw it's shadow last month and I guess that means an early spring (???). Well spring weather has suddenly hit northwest Indiana this week. Yesterday temps were in the 60's and today they will get up into the 70's. All of the snow finally melted. I took a few minutes yesterday after work to walk around my new yard and have a look at what is growing/coming up. Lots of bulbs and perennials starting to peek through the cold damp soil. I even had my first blooms - little snowdrops in the back yard. The next weeks should be fun watching things grow and bloom!
Have been working on getting the old house thoroughly cleaned - we need to get it up for sale. It's just so hard to find the time to do everything when I work full time. I have to really nag Bill a little to get him going on things. He is a worse procrastinator than I am. He will be going up to Michigan for work on Sunday and will be gone for a week! He really needs to help me get that house ready now!
We still have unpacking to do at the new house too beside the normal chores of dishes and laundry. I have to admit I have not been lazy during the past week. I am determined to stay motivated and not slack off on things. So far it's been going pretty well.

MOVING (exciting and exhausting)

We began our move on Monday afternoon - what a chore! We are all very excited to be in our new home, but I feel like we'll never get everything unpacked and set up. I also still have to do major cleaning at the house we moved out of! I was off on Monday, but went back to work on Tuesday and will work the rest of the week most likely - not leaving much time to get things done. Of course I haven't got much sleep over the last two days.

Emily loves her new school and I am so glad! The bus picks her up and drops her off right at the end of our driveway. Speaking of driveways, ours was not plowed while the house was vacant so we had snow with a huge layer of ice underneath. We had it plowed on Monday, but he could not do anything about the ice and of course it hasn't been warm enough to melt it yet. Moving in winter is NOT fun! What a pain.

Jack Jack has been very confused, but is happy to be with us of course. Not having a fenced yard has not been a problem yet. He hasn't strayed out of the yard yet, of course that could change once he is used to the place and the weather is nicer.

I will try to take photos of rooms inside once they are finished and post them here. Amanda's room looks great with her new furniture that she bought for herself. Our new furniture will be delivered hopefully by Friday (can't wait!!!)
